We thank you for visiting our website and hope you will visit again.

UTC Bushenyi (UTCBu) is a public training institution under the department of Technical, Vocational Education Training Operations and Management (TVET O&M) in the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES). Therefore the College Institutional Strategic Plan and all the college strategic activities have their root in the BTVET Strategic Plan.

The BTVET Strategic Plan 2011-2020 is titled ―Skilling Uganda, which denotes a paradigm shift for skills development in Uganda. The title originates from the Second National Development Plan (NDPII) 2015/16 – 2019/20, in which fast tracking skills development is one of the strategies for employment creation. The BTVET system is expected to emerge from an educational sub-sector into a comprehensive system of skills development for employment, enhanced productivity and growth.

The main purpose is to create employable skills and competencies relevant in the labour market. It embraces all persons in need of formal and non-formal skills, including but not limited to primary and secondary school leavers.

Therefore the training at UTC Bushenyi (UTCBu) is strategically being directed towards excellence in imparting appropriate skills and competencies relevant in the labour market. We thank the Government of Uganda, College Governing Council, Administrators and Staff for their efforts in the process of developing UTC Bushenyi (UTCBu) towards excellence.

The Second National Development Plan also encourages strong Public/Private Partnerships (PPPs) for sustainable development; therefore we also encourage Nations, Governmental & Non-Governmental Organisations, Training Institutions, Alumni and Individuals to join the development process by offering the possible support for a better UTC Bushenyi.

Yours FaithFully
